Invitation to lecture by MIT Professor Esther Duflo in Barcelona on June 4
The Barcelona Graduate School of Economics is pleased to invite all MIT alumni to attend the first Calvó-Armengol Lecture, presented by MIT professor Esther Duflo. The lecture is titled “Gender equality and development,” and it will take place here in Barcelona on June 4 at 12:30 pm at the beautiful Casa Convalescència. Introducing Prof. Duflo will be European Commission Vice President, Joaquin Almunia. Prof. Duflo is presenting this lecture as the first recipient of the Calvó-Armengol International Prize in Economics. The award recognizes young economists and social scientists for his or her contribution to the theory and comprehension of the mechanisms of social interaction.
